Re: Coherens Installation From Clean Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Hi Hani, I think you did not install a test case, so the program lacks some user defined input, to install the bohai test case: COHERENS/install_test -t bohai Make sure to double check the coherensflags files, cause after each install_test command it gets overwritten. Before running the program chec...

Re: Coherens Installation From Clean Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Dear Hani, Did you check out the manual for dummies? If this is not sufficient, please let me know at which step you are struggling. https://odnature.naturalsciences.be/coherens/getting-started/introduction I can already tell you that besides unzipping the file, you don't need to do anything special...

Re: Procedure for testing the compilation.

Hi Jerome,
Have a look at the step-by-step documentation on our web-site: http://odnature.naturalsciences.be/cohe ... test-cases

Hope this helps,

Re: Features of coherence V2

Hi Christopher, The major updates in V2 concern the introduction of a more flexible curvilinear mesh, computations on parallel machines, generalized vertical coordinate and nesting of finer sub-grids within coarser main grids. We also added a sediment module and a lagrangian particle tracking module...

Re: Nesting

Hi Sou, The nesting option works for sure, hence the test cases. First of all some clarification on how the nesting procedure works. Let's say you are working with two models a mother model with a coarse grid and a daughter model with a finer grid. The mother model delivers the input for the open se...

Re: CIF files with COHERENS V2.11

Hi Janne,
Indeed Patrick changed some stuff about it, because it was not updated for a long time. There is another post under known bugs and bug submission by Mancia where you can get some pointers. I'll make sure Patrick puts a post here as well to clarify things.

Thanks for your post!

Re: tide

Dear Pooran,

I am afraid I didn't keep those data either. If I know myself a little bit I probably based myself on the bohai test case, so have a look how the tides are implemented in that test case.

Hope this helps,

Re: How to set Evaporation and Precipitation switch if salinity is 0

you can set sal_ref = 0 in the parameter subroutine. As for evaporation and so on, that is determined in the Usrdef_Surface data, so have a look at how wind in included, read the manual regarding the question and try to solve.

Hope this helps,

Re: Model runs with dataset A but not B

Are you defining a fortran dataformat when you read the data? Are you sure the data are read correctly?
