COHERENS forum

Hello everybody,

For more than ten years I've been on the COHERENS mailing list Coherens@lists.mumm.ac.be

And for almost as long I've been trying to get off it. Yes, I rarely get an email from there, but every so often I do, and I really don't need them, as I've never even used COHERENS (I once considered using it and signed up at that time).

The mailing list link given in the signature:

does not work. The list owner
coherens-owner@lists.mumm.ac.be
does not react to my requests to unsubscribe.

Maybe I find help here?

I'd like to unsubscribe from the mailing list, how can I achieve this?

I'm awfully sorry for the inconvenience, I'll look into the matter and put you off the mailing list asap. Can you please post me the name and e-mail address under which you are subscribed? I checked the form to unsubscribe and did not detect any errors, but we'll look further into the matter.

No problem, after all, it is low traffic indeed.

Where did you find an unsubscribe form? If only I could have found that. If I enter the mailman-URL it tries and tries to contact the server but never succeeds to. Maybe if you are "internal" you're able to access it?

If I follow this link http://lists.mumm.ac.be/mailman/listinfo/coherens I get to a form, if you go to the bottom of that form and give your e-mail you should be able to unsubscribe?

That is indeed my problem. I always get a time-out:



I've tried three browsers and two locations (work & home, both in Switzerland) with the same result.



Could you (or somebody else?) try from another location, like home? I still wonder if you can only access it while at work (i.e. while being on the same domain or something like that...).

EDIT:
I just opened a remote session on an US server, and the firefox there cannot connect to the mailing-list URL either.

All the browser and locations I've tested ARE able to connect to http://www.mumm.ac.be/
Maybe that tells somebody something (some admin or so).

I'll look into it. This kind of feedback is really important for us, so thanks for the info.

It should be solved by next week, in any case I'll let you know if you can succesfully unsubscribe by the form (i hope you don't mind being a test case, we don't plan on sending any mails to the list members next week).
