The ergonomy of the NOOS-Drift web application should be as user-friendly and intuitive as possible.

This user guide provides you with basic information to start using NOOS-Drift.

How to create a login?

The NOOS-Drift registration form is available here.

How to request a new simulation?

  1. click on the + icon to get access to the simulation request form
  2. Once the form is filled in, click on the submit button.
  3. In case of inconsistencies or mistakes in the form, a pop up message will appear detailing how to solve the errors.
  4. Within 30 minutes of the request submission, an email is sent to flag the simulation results availability. The results will also be available via the central manager.

How to access to simulation results?

All the simulations results are listed in the simulation manager in reserve chronological order. If the simulation cannot be found at a glance, the search functionality of your browser (CRTL + F) allows to find it. Searches on the username, the date of the simulation, the simulation title or the simulation tags are possible.

In a future version of NOOS-Drift, a built-in search tool will be developed.

How to visualise simulation results ?

To visualize simulation results,

  1. Find the simulation in the simulation manager
  2. click on the eye icon .

How to download a simulation results ?

To download simulation results,

  1. Find the simulation in the simulation manager
  2. Click on the download icon .

The same icon is available on the visualisation page.

How many days do simulation results remain available?

By default, the results of NOOS-Drift simulations remains available for 2 weeks.

You can prevent the automatic deletion of your simulation results by switching on the padlock icon.

Can I view the simulation request form of an existing simulation?

Yes you can :

  1. Find the simulation in the simulation manager
  2. Click on the xxx icon .

Can I edit the simulation request form of an existing simulation?

Yes you can :

  1. Find the simulation in the simulation manager
  2. Click on the xxx icon .
  3. You can then edit some medata of the simulation including the simulation title, the simulation description or the simulation tags.

Can I reuse an existing simulation request form to request a new simulation?

Yes you can :

  1. Find the simulation in the simulation manager
  2. Click on the xxx icon .
