sun glint correction in acolite

Post by cio »

Hi Quinten,

I'm comparing ACOLITE with few other algorithms and would like ACOLITE not to do sun glint correction (I assume ACOLITE masks sun glint pixels?). Wondering if there's a way to do this please.

Thanks.

There is no direct sun glint correction or detection in ACOLITE. A SWIR masking threshold is used (Advanced settings > Masking) that masks the most intense sun glint. If you increase this threshold, more pixels affected by glint will be in your output product. The Rayleigh LUT contains a sun glint contribution which can be disabled by using the analytical Rayleigh model instead (Advanced settings > Rayleigh).
