ACOLITE forum

Hi Quinten,
Currently I'm workin on this ACOLITE version (20190326) and when I try to run the code for Landsat 8, I get the following error:

Launching ACOLITE Python!

My setting file is attached .

I've read other potential solutions to this problem such as your response: "It could be a character encoding or path length issue. My guess is that the first backslash in the path of your input file (C:\) is causing problems"
I've tried to reduce the path and change the first backslash.
Is due to the older version of ACOLITE?
Have you any other suggestions? Can you help me, please?

Hi Emanuele

Thes files you are processing are from Landsat Collection 2, you can tell by the _02_ near the end of the bundle names. Processing data from this Collection is not supported in this old version of ACOLITE. Looks like it is time to upgrade to a newer release! Although this file from 2015 may also be available in Collection 1 format that can be processed with the 20190326 version of ACOLITE.
