Masking in ACOLITE

Post by cio »

Hi Quinten,

I am correcting an image (with ACOLITE latest version) around Florida using SWIR-based approach (exponential), and this seems to work pretty fine (as I do not have problems of too many pixels being masked) but would like to test NIR/SWIR approach too. However, I have lots of water pixels being masked with the NIR/SWIR method, so I set 'l2w_mask_negative_rhow' to 'False' to include negative pixels but was surprised that there are a lots of (valid?) pixels that are not negative values when using this option. Wondering why this is the case- does this mean when negative pixels are masked some non-negative pixels but suspicious are being masked too. Also, is there any other way to still mask negative pixels and still have a significant pixels - like the SWIR option I first used?

Thanks/

Could you give a concrete example? Scene ID for example, then I can have a look at what's going on.
