ACOLITE generic Rrs and Landsat 8 band names

Hi Quinten,

Could you please clarify the name of Rrs band and the corresponding band name of Landsat 8? It seems a bit different in wavelength between the Rrs products and the original Landsat 8 band name.

Rrs_613 is Band ?

Hi Thang

Your band order is correct! The 613 nm product is an orange band estimated from panchromatic, green, and red band reflectances by Castagna et al. 2020 (https://doi.org/10.3390/rs12040637). It was proposed to estimate phycocyanin/cyanobacteria from L8/OLI imagery.
