ACOLITE 20161013.0

ACOLITE version 20161013.0 was publicly released on 2016-10-14.

Many bug fixes in this update, see below. ACOLITE now also supports processing of Landsat 5 (TM) and Landsat 7 (ETM+) data. To process these images, a resampling of the SWIR bands is strongly recommended. A surface reflectance (rhos) product can now also be generated; here the median aerosol type and aerosol reflectance from water pixels is used for processing all pixels.

Updates since 20160520.1:
  • - Added “surface reflectance” RHOS as output product, which uses median aerosol epsilon, and median aerosol reflectance (over water pixels) for all pixels (including land). It is recommended to use this only over smaller subscenes.
    - Added processing of L5/TM and L7/ETM+ data, including 6SV Rayleigh LUTs. Resampling of the SWIR bands for the aerosol correction
    is recommended, or processing to RHOS (fixed aerosol reflectance and model).
    - Added sensor-specific calibrations (Sept. 2016) of the Nechad SPM and Turbidity algorithms for L8/OLI and S2A/MSI.
    -RGB scaling options have been added (linear/log/asinh/sqrt), including automatic range stretching-Mask negatives option is now on by default (mask pixels with negative rhow in any band)
    - Fixed user defined cloud-threshold and epsilon, the user specified values are now actually used in the processing
    - Fixed S2 lat/lon offset when using fixed epsilonand a region crop
    - Fixed S2 geolocation error when using a region of interest crop, where the lat/lon was computed based on region limits and not on the S2 10m grid.
    - Fixed S2 crop check when a single granule with a given UTM zone is provided (e.g. from EarthExplorer), but where the ROI centre would lie in a different UTM zone.
    - S2 geolocation in GeoTIFFs are now correct (offset 5 m)
    - S2 base level directories can now be renamed
    - Corrected Landsat-8 crop offset
    - Added fillvalue in NetCDF output
    - Fixed lat/lon datasets that had L2 masking applied to them
    - Added additional test to avoid crashing for unsupported rrs/rhow/rtoa/... parameters
