Development and management strategy
SWAP adopts an Agile-like development and management strategy.
We base our work on a set of principles and values, some of which stem from the original Agile Manifesto:
- Client satisfaction is the highest priority
- Client involvement is essential to the development process in order to properly estimate and adequately respond to business and technical requirements over the project’s lifetime
- Be aware that best laid-out plans can and will likely change during the development cycle
- Remember Ziv’s, Humphrey’s and Conway’s Laws
- Working software is the primary measure of progress
- Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design enhances agility
- Simplicity — the art of maximizing the amount of work not done — is essential
- As a team:
- Inspect and adapt on a regular basis
- Respect, truth, transparency, trust, commitment, reactivity and self-organisation are core values
