After being postponed twice, the AQUALOOKS fieldwork held from 7 to 24 September in Belgium and involved the RBINS and FAU teams. During this fieldwork three different sites were sampled. Two of them were in inland waters: the “Grand Large” leisure basin in Mons and the Meuse River at Godinne. Belgian coastal waters were also sampled. Measurements made included multi-looks in water radiometry, volume scattering function with MASCOTT, above water radiometry, as well as other complementary measurements for IOPs and water properties. Data are now being processed. With these measurements, we aim to better characterize water BRDF in turbid waters and understand the role of particle scattering in water BRDF.
